WHY DISABILITY?

Parenting a child with special needs is a life-changing experience that could be financially, emotionally and psychologically overwhelming for both parents.

Raising a child with special needs affects the entire family’s life. It can pose a great challenge in our society ridden with ignorance, superstitious beliefs, lack of proper information, and adequate medical care are not made available for our special treasures. Parents need love and support from siblings, friend and caregivers to solve problems, and help with treatment and therapy.

It is a major strain between married couples, divorce rate among parents of kids with special needs is frighteningly high. This is especially because of the stigma and discrimination that is associated with having a child with disability in the family or society at large.

Super Parents Foundation started as a passion to help parents deal with the challenges of raising a child with special needs and to create greater awareness on its causes and treatment in order to correct stigma/wrongs done to children with special needs in the society
